INTRODUCTION:  Beautiful art under San Diego's Blue Skies

Begun in 2005 San Diego LGBT Pride has offered a unique venue to local artists.  They could display their works under the beautiful trees of Balboa Park and promote the mission of San Diego's LGBT Pride Events.  Original organizers Judy the Beauty on Duty at the Big Kitchen and Jeanne pulled artists together under the name of "Art of Pride". Art of Pride could provide a single area for viewing art offerings.  The generosity of San Diego LGBT Pride Organization has allowed Art of Pride to offer affordable space to self-representing artists.

San Diego Pride Gives Back to San Diego

When you participate in the annual San Diego Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Pride celebrations, you are supporting many community organizations that are vital to the health and well-being of the entire LGBT community. San Diego Pride fosters pride in and respect for all LGBT communities, locally and globally by producing the annual Pride parade and festival and through philanthropy in our community. San Diego LGBT Pride is a non-profit organization committed to the goals of civil rights, aging, health and human services, arts and culture, and education in our community.

Since 1996, San Diego LGBT Pride has given over $2 million to our community.
The San Diego Pride strategy for charitable contributions includes Grant Funding, providing Direct Community Support, Support of Other Prides, Support of the LGBT Center, and forming Partnerships with community organizations whose membership desire a larger participatory role in the Pride Weekend events.
